![]() Regardless, a good player will do both, not either-or if you can stack both 90% resist and 90% armor nothing will ever kill u. Stacking resists has the same effect as stacking armor. It is the same comparing the armor skill vs the resist skill. ![]() If you compare two relics, the one that gives resistance, will give more % than the one that gives armor. On defense, you run into the slot efficiency problem, where general purpose defense would be preferable since attackers can modify their troops accordingly. Or would you rather swap your relics in and out for each battle and then have them out of sync for repairs? I know I certainly don't. On attack, you can certainly try to use one ring for each element, but then you'll be lacking in relics to deal extra damage that makes your titan more of a threat. There's also a case to be made for slot efficiency and practicality. (Resistance also goes higher than armor.) Archers are the only ones with appreciate amounts of it. Not having too much armor also means armor-piercing, which is plentiful, is bypassedĪrmour piercing is actually fairly uncommon. Realistically, there are still plenty of islands with physical troops so it's still relevant (especially with the health boost).Īnd it just so happens then general purpose armour is great if you can stack it. Garrison level 12 is when basic island defenses are replaced by t2 units, so physical resists at the very least remain relevant until then. ![]() Humans become obsolete at lvl 10, so being able to beat many types of humans is only matters for physical titans. (Resistance also goes higher than armor.)įocused relics will beat general-purpose relics! Not having too much armor also means armor-piercing, which is plentiful, is bypassed, while there is nothing that bypasses resistance. This means that cold ring, fire ring, and earth ring (or special event analogs) are the best defence relics, since those represent anti-pikemen, grenadiers, and goliaths. (even if they are mixed, titans only need to take care of the troublesome ones while spells and grenadiers can mop up the rest). Wyrm helm is general purpose armor most defences on the other hand are min-maxed meaning they are heavy on either goliaths, grenadiers, pikemen, or panthers. Hell mask (physical resist) is not very good to raid anything above Lvl 11 as every opponent is ice (pikemen), fire (grenadiers), poison (panther) or earth (goliath). Please feel free to share any feedback or corrections in the comments Wyrm Helmet might look odd since it was only rated a 3 on the chart, but armour stacking is quite strong in this game for titans with 40%+ starting armour it would have received a higher rating if only all titans could make good use of it. Since 2* Firemane grants a grenadier damage buff once upgraded and grenadiers are probably the most important unit in attacks, it's good enough to use even on non-fire damage titans. Turns out general purpose survivability and damage are really good. Firemane (or long bow if no access to grenadiers).Boar Spite (Or appropriate damage mod for elemental titans).UPDATE: Relic analysis will be done in the future Top 5 2* Relics 3* and 4* relics require too many other rare relics to upgrade and sustain their use (though they're fine on defense). Only 2* and 1* relics were evaluated for this initial analysis since they are the most practical to use. The second effect on relics (obtained through upgrading) were weighted less due to the investment required to get them. Ratings were generally skewed towards the perspective of attacking bases rather than defending. Thus the 1* relics ratings take into account the fact that 2* relics exist. How worthwhile is the investment to upgrade the relic? How does this effect compare to other effects on other relics? Here is a gdoc with a breakdown of each combat relic's specific effects as well as a personal rating and some comments about each of them MethodologyĮach relic was evaluated based several factors However it may be difficult, especially as a new player, to know what to use. ![]() Relics form a large and important part of Dawn of Titans game play. List update is on my list of to-dos Overview UPDATE (): Recent change to relic repair costs has made 3 star relics much more practical to use (and also makes 1 stars almost pointless since 2 stars are now even cheaper).
